N727RT Progress Summary:  Aug 2006  .

FAIRING & GEAR ACCESS: I purposely left creation of the wing and gear fairing access panels until after the overall bodywork and priming were done - to ensure I was staring with a smooth/level surface.  I then cut the access holes, using my prior templates to ensure placement and adequate access.  Flanges and nut plates are added to the hole so the cover can be screwed on. The piece that was cut out, is reinforced and re-used as the cover.  After the fabrication is all done, the gap and area immediately around the cover is re-bodyworked and feathered in.
